Personally I prefer your style of teaching to Shawn's and think the info in this video is excellent. Sure Shawn's videos are more polished, but the guy is extremely self loving and annoying (number one teacher on the net, need I say more). keep up the good work, I enjoy your videos and they help. Shawn's excessive hip opening and Bubba Watson style swing is a bit worrying? too!

Ok, I take it back.? I've seen some of your other videos. It's unfortunate that this was the first video of yours that I've seen.

It's called professionalism. I and others are more likely? to believe what Shawn is saying because of the professionalism in his videos. Your video looks like the Golf Equivalent of "Grady Wilson burnin up the bedsheets". watch?v=klZ1IN-IhV8

I don't particularly like Shawns version of the hip turn but I do think the tush line is something that helps maintain a steady axis to swing? around.

What does the background of the video have to do with the information contained in the? video?

yeah, and Shawn films at? a beautiful golf course in Richmond Hill Ontario, not his living room, lol.

Youtube "Golf Pro Lesson Hogan power Move" and "Golf pro lesson hogan power drill." Shawn Clement gives astonishing light on this, if you come off your tush line your head will drop right out of the? sky. This is what tiger does when he swings bad.

I can understand how you might think that but there are two things I would like to point out. First, if your left hip is coming off the tush line then you aren't truely rotating around it on the forward? swing. The idea is to rotate around the right hip on the backswing and around the left hip on the front swing. Second, I still have not seen conclusive proof that the "tush line" is a truly important component to achive a good golf swing.

I have a problem with what? he is saying. If you drive the right hip at your left toe to start the downswing you come way off the tush line. Look at at his video and you can see it.

Finding this explantion was a eureka moment for me. I new from early on how? important the hip action was and completely digested Hogans five steps, took it literaly (I'm thinking now about his analogy with the elastic band pulling the left hip back) and of coarse came over the top. This makes it clear and for that I thank you.

Thank you so much for this explanation. I have been working on "putting" down my right shoulder at the end of my backswing and pulling to my left side before going through my swing, all the while thinking I should leave my right leg behind. The right hip "push" action coupled with the left side "pull" helped me time my swing well.? I don't even have to think of my right shoulder. I can now work on speed and just concentrate on wrist action on impact. Thanks so very much again.

Really good stuff in your videos. Will you? be doing more? In relation to this video, should you adress the ball in a stacked and tilt address? Then just turn the Rt hip as you suggested? Thanks again!

hello steve, as a beginner, i have difficulties with this hip action. by chance, i found a way that feels like making this easier for me: at the top of the backswing i find my weight at the outside of the right food. so if i, while holding this position for? a moment, simply roll my weight to the inside, it seems that this hipslide followes automatically. could this be? or where i´m missing?

Dear Steve, I really enjoyed all your videos. I went through most of them this time. The last time I skipped your videos because of the poor video and audio but what your instructions are really good. You should consider improving your video. You will get alot of hits if you do. I know its' all voluntary for u. Just an idea since I? think your tips are really much better in terms of the reasoning behind it.

Good explanation on the hip turn. I have the problem? of starting the downswing with the right shoulder turning. I'll try the hip turn and dropping the right shoulder.

Steve - I like the idea of pushing the right knee towards the left toe. Noone that I have seen/read has put the transition action in such a way that I can? understand. Now this move combined with your 'through-swing' video should really help me out. Thanks!
